    Hi Gobinder – Great talk about a big and complicated issue that doesn’t need to be… One thing I would challenge – ‘visible minority’ is an 80’s term that refers to non-white in colour (hence visible, distinguishable from the majority) and minority because they number relatively few in a certain space (e.g., workplace, neighbourhoods, schools). I would argue that the non white population, while still visible, is no longer a minority in society, schools, neighbourhoods, but certainly in some workplaces. The visible minority might in fact be ‘white’ in every place but the workplace — another clue that things are not yet fair and equitable from a power and resource perspective. Continue to challenge business to hire to reflect the place in which it does business. I hope you’ll continue to challenge all of our perceptions and perspectives.
